Meet Info

Sign up sheets are posted on the bulletin board by the pool for the swimmers and/or the parents to sign up for dual meets. Deadlines for meet entries will be posted and are generally about one week in advance.

Relay swimmers will be determined by the coach stuff. Swimmers will be informed prior to the start of the meet if they are in relays and will not have the option to decline.

Types of Meets

YMCA Dual Meets are between the Barracudas and one other team. We have 8 dual meets scheduled this season.

YMCA North Country League Championships - This meet has qualifying times for every event; swimmers must have meet these times for each event entered. In addition, the swimmer must have competed in ate least three YMCA Dual Meets. The coach will notify you if your swimmer qualifies. The meet is held once a year at a location within the Adirondack Region.

YMCA State Championships - This meet has qualifying times for every event. Swimmers must have met the minimum qualifying times for each event entered. In addition, the swimmer must have competed in ate least three NY State YMCA Dual Meets. Some of the teams that we swim against are either not YMCA teams or they are not NY State teams.
